Secret services are certain: – On Friday, the Hamas leadership ordered a massacre

Date:

As Chancellor Karl Nehammer calls for solidarity with Israel, our secret services provide new details about the devastating attack.

Just a few hours before the massacre in southern Israel, they met: leaders of the radical Hamas, Hezbollah and the Muslim Brotherhood. It is a final meeting before the bloodiest attack on Israel in more than fifty years. Shortly afterwards the starting gun was fired and hours of slaughter began in southern Israel.

According to information from “Krone”, the experts of the Austrian secret services reconstruct the first hours of the attack. The extremely complex military operation took them by surprise. “We also have no answer to the question of how this could have happened to the Israeli domestic secret service Shin Bet,” said an insider.

Meeting with Erdogan, no money for Palestinians
But in addition to the remote analyses, there are also Austria’s first concrete measures:

  • Chancellor Karl Nehammer will speak in Ankara today, Tuesday meet Turkish President Erdogan. The long-planned date was originally going to be about migration, the economy, but also about more banal matters such as excavations in Ephesus – that’s over, the dramatic events in Israel overshadow the summit. Turkey is considered a strong player in the region; its secret services have excellent connections with Hezbollah.
  • Foreign Minister Schallenberg said this Development cooperation with the Palestinians stopped. “We will suspend all payments for the time being,” it said. This amounts to approximately 19 million euros.
  • For Austrians in Israel – it is believed that there are 181 registered travelers and around 8,000 Austrians live there – a Citizen service on site furnished. An emergency number was sent via text message. There are no evacuation flights yet; land, air and sea routes are still open as of Monday evening.
  • After initial hesitation, the president of the Islamic Religious Community in Austria, Ümit Vural, also accepted the proposal Condemns Hamas’ attacks and “strongly rejected.”

No Austrians among the dead or wounded
However, Austrian authorities do not believe there was financial support for the Hamas attacks from cells in Austria. Likewise, no deaths or injuries have been reported from Austria so far. “Israel and the Israeli people can be assured that we stand with them. We have a great responsibility because of our history,” Nehammer said.
