Councilor Peter Hacker was now asked by the Vienna City Council about the body camera in the emergency room – and was surprised with some statements.
The ‘Krone’ report about the nursing director who filmed with a bodycam in the emergency room caused a stir. Now city councilor Peter Hacker (SPÖ) had to speak out about this in the city council following a request from the ÖVP and he surprised with a few statements. “Most of the employees knew about the recordings” and “they didn’t care.” The internal investigation has not yet been completed.
“Something’s not right”
Hacker also confirms that the material was intended for social media advertising purposes. Hacker: “The (note: video) turned out to be quite nice, I heard, but was still unusable and was therefore removed.” Green MP Barbara Huemer was not the only one who found the explanation annoying and confirmed: “It was a good video, but we still make it disappear, so something is wrong.
Removed immediately
The health association said at the time: “However, the recording of video material is subject to precise internal rules of the Vienna Health Association and requires careful preparation and coordination. After an illuminating conversation, the recordings were immediately deleted.“Apparently a nice video has already been made.
