Migration is a complex issue that generates different opinions and perspectives. In the program “CLUB 3”, things get particularly heated during the discussion about refugees and asylum procedures between pollster Christoph Haselmayer and author Lena Schilling.
Living together with a great diversity of points of view presents us with a challenge. The conflict in the Middle East has again shown the country’s problems clearly and unpleasantly. Swastikas and Stars of David on the walls of houses, arson in cemeteries, insults in public. Anti-Semitism has reached a peak. “People have been looking the other way for years,” says pollster Christoph Haselmayer. “The mentality in countries like Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq is simply different from ours in a Christian Europe. Anyone who criticized this at all was immediately thrown into a right-wing corner and labeled a Nazi. “It’s slowly starting to break down, which is good for me,” Haselmayer says.
