The lehendakari and the candidate proposed by the PNV leadership as lehendakari embraced each other in the presence of the party chairman, Andoni Ortuzar.
The Lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu and Imanol Pradales held their first public meeting this Sunday after the latter was nominated by the PNV leadership as the candidate for Lehendakaritza of the Basque government in the next regional elections.
As part of the 120th anniversary of the death of the PNV founder, Sabino Arana, Urkullu and Pradales embraced in the presence of the party’s president, Andoni Ortuzar, and several advisers to the Basque executive.
Coincidentally, Urkullu, a teacher by profession, was a Pradales teacher at the Asti Leku ikastola in Portugalete (Bizkaia) in the 4th and 5th grades of the EGB. Neither has wanted to make any statements to the media at this time.
