In another week of justice, the ÖVP shoots at Justice Minister Alma Zadic (Greens) in the inquiry committee. The Turkish faction leader Andreas Hanger does not only want to prove that there was no political influence by questioning employees of their department, for example by the suspended section head Christian Pilnacek and the senior Viennese prosecutor Johann Fuchs. He accuses the green minister of exerting influence.
Hanger Zadic accuses several cases of political influence. Certainly with regard to the suspension of Fuchs – which has now been lifted by the Supreme Court (OGH). The VP faction leader criticized the more or less disregard of the instruction council in the charges against the chief public prosecutor. Head of Section Barbara Göth-Flemmich and Head of Department Gerhard Noggratnig were invited on Tuesday.
There was less excitement before the first opposition respondents were polled. According to SPÖ mandate Jan Krainer, you will “witness an interesting experiment”, the ÖVP wants to prove that Pilnacek and Fuchs did everything right. The FPÖ and NEOS also expect little news from the two informants.
