Legal show in Italy – Vilimsky: “Austria must remain Austria!”

Date:

Harald Vilimsky took part in an event of high-ranking European right-wing populists in the Italian city of Florence on Sunday. The blue EU mandate had strong slogans against illegal migration and warned about the negative effects of globalism. “We want to defend our property. We want every European country to keep its identity, Italy must remain Italy, Austria must remain Austria,” the Freedom Party sang.

Representatives of 14 European parties took part in the meeting of the EU group “Identity and Democracy”, which was organized by Italy’s right-wing ruling party Lega.

“Stop globalism, we want our countries, our democracy, freedom and sovereignty back,” Vilimsky told the participants.

Vilimsky sees the FPÖ as a bridge builder
The EU group “Identity and Democracy” has grown significantly in recent years and advocates “peace, freedom and prosperity for all in Europe”. “We are a political family ready to take on leadership responsibility for the whole of Europe,” said Vilimsky, who attended the event in Florence together with Vienna FPÖ leader Dominik Nepp. “The FPÖ is the bridge builder in all directions and is proud to contribute to saving our continent,” Vilimsky explains.

Praise for Salvini and Le Pen Rosen
Vilimsky described Lega leader and Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, as well as French right-wing populist Marine Le Pen, who took part in the meeting via videoconference, as a “dam against illegal migration”. “We want to defend our property. We want every European country to keep its identity, Italy must remain Italy, Austria must remain Austria,” sang the FPÖ mandate.

Vilimsky also dealt with international issues. “We believe it is wrong to support Ukraine, and equally wrong to support the Israeli-Palestinian war,” he said. He also opposed the phasing out of combustion engines in favor of electric cars.

The event was organized by Lega leader Salvini, who holds the position of Transport Minister in the government of right-wing populist Giorgia Meloni. “Our goal is to bring together the entire European center-right movement, which today is divided into three factions in Europe,” Salvini said.

Salvini: Identity, work and prosperity
“The polls tell us that we are now the fourth largest political force in the European Parliament. The goal is to reach third place to become decisive. We offer our contribution to the reform of Europe,” Salvini said. He added that the Identity and Democracy faction would continue to grow. She works on a Europe based on identity, work and prosperity.
