The plenary session of the Basque Parliament will debate today the changes in the whole presented by opposition groups Basque Country budget project for 2024which will be rejected by the absolute majority that include the autonomous government parties (PNV and PSE-EE) in the Chamber.
In the session, which starts at 9:30 amthe full amendments submitted by all opposition groups (EH Bildu, Elkarrekin Podemos-IU, Mixed Group-Cs and Mixed Group-Vox) will be discussed.
It will be presented after the debate vote on whether or not the bills are returned to the Basque government. The absolute majority that the PNV and the PSE-EE have in the plenary, with 41 parliamentarians out of a total of 75, guarantees the rejection of the request for the return of the project raised by the opposition groups in their respective amendments in the plenary meeting. whole.
In this way, after the debate on the partial amendments in the Commission, the plenary session of Parliament will hold the debate and final vote on the project on December 22. As with the rejection of the amendments as a whole, the majority of the Yeltzales and the Socialists guarantees the final approval of the bills.
The Basque budgets for next year amount to 15,025 million euros, 5.4% more than in 2023, they allocate 76% of their total amount (10,934.4 million euros) to social policy, which represents an increase of almost 653 million compared to the previous year. Health is the department with the largest budget (4,896.6 million euros), and 79% of this amount corresponds to Osakidetza.
