The PSOE points out that the demonstrators “hanged” a doll that they identified with the President of the Government and links the actions with the statements of the Vox leader in which he said that there will come a time when the people will want hanging at Sanchez’s feet.
He PSOE has presented one complaint for the Office of the Attorney General for the events that took place on New Year’s Eve next to the National Headquarters on Ferraz Street, during which a doll with the image of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, was beaten. The socialists point out a possible crime of iHate speech and they underscore the protest organizers’ relationship with Vox.
In its letter, the PSOE points out that the demonstrators “hanged” a human-sized doll that they identified with the president of the Spanish government. They point to the presenters of the event, which was broadcast by several media outlets, and also include acts of vandalism against numerous locations across Spain in recent weeks.
They also influence and establish the relationship that they believe exists between the organizers of the protest and Santiago Abascal’s party connection between the actions and statements of the Vox leader in which he said that there will come a time when people will want that hang Sánchez at his feet.
Finally, the Socialists have chosen to point out that these acts could constitute a possible crime incite hatred because of their political ideology. Because this type of crime can only be practiced if it is committed against vulnerable groups, the PSOE points out that it was prosecuted during Franco’s dictatorship.
Moreover, they point out in the complaint that the events on New Year’s Eve in Ferraz may constitute other crimes insults against the authority in the exercise of its position, insults and serious threats against the government of the nation, threats against the president of the government and incitement to violence.
“We have moved from the seriousness of the metaphor to the seriousness of the simulation of the facts. We have gone from the threat of words to the threat of facts,” the PSOE emphasizes.
According to him, the “gravity” of the attacks on Sánchez and the party cannot be protected by the right to freedom of expression.
In their complaint, they collect images, messages and information distributed on social networks and designate the organizations “Revuelta” and “Noviembre nacional” as “unofficial” organizers of the event, which are not legally established associations or functions.
According to his writing, the “authentic official organizers” would be “Plataforma 711” and “ASOMA”, where he places people close to Vox.
