Wild scenes took place in an apartment in Innsbruck on Thursday afternoon. An Iraqi (30) first hit a door with a hammer. When the tenant (36) opened it, the man stormed the apartment, damaged the television and also injured his colleague. He had been arrested.
The 30-year-old Iraqi started his real attack around 4 p.m. when he hit the door of the apartment of an Iraqi man (36) several times with a hammer. When he finally opened the door, he stormed into the apartment and turned on the television.
But that’s not all: “The 30-year-old then attacked the 36-year-old, injuring him to an undisclosed degree to his left forearm,” investigators say. The 36-year-old was seriously injured and taken to the clinic.
Search for suspects successful
The police investigation made it possible to quickly determine the suspect’s place of residence. When he did not open the door to his apartment, the prosecutor ordered the man’s arrest and a search of his home. The 30-year-old eventually opened the door himself and was arrested by officers from the Rapid Intervention Group (SIG).
“The 30-year-old refused to make a statement when questioned,” investigators said. The man was taken to Innsbruck prison.
