The general secretary and candidate for lehendakari of the PSE-EE, Eneko Andueza, was pleased that yesterday “everything went well in the end” and that the Spanish government managed to adopt two of the three decrees (justice and anti-crisis) during the vote of the Congress of Deputies. According to him, the Spanish government started the day of voting on the first three law decrees with “a 3-0 loss” and ended with a “2-1 victory”. Moreover, he has accused the Junts and Podemos of “putting their own interests above those of the people”.
In an interview with Euskadi Irratia, he assured that when “very important issues” are at stake, political parties should think about the general interest of citizens and not so much about their specific interests.
In this context he has expressed criticism Can for reversing the unemployment benefits reform. Eneko Andueza believes that Podemos made “a huge mistake” by voting against the decree law introduced by Vice President Yolanda Díaz, and regretted that “the people are paying for their revenge”.
In another order of things, it has not closed the door to realization agreements with EH Bildu in the future. However, at the moment he does not believe that this is possible, for two reasons: on the one hand, because EH Bildu defends independence, and on the other hand, because the socialist model of government is “very different”.
Finally, Andueza has defended the Health Ministry’s order imposing the measure mask in hospitals and health centers. According to him, the most important thing in this matter is protecting people, and therefore he considers this a reasonable decision.
