Date:

Casanova has pointed out that the announcement of the Lehendakari “opens a new scenario” in which “there is at least a glimpse of the possibility of a moratorium process and therefore of reflection.”

The spokesperson of EH Bildu at the General Meetings of Bizkaia, Iker Casanovahas called for taking advantage of the moratorium on the Guggenheim Urdaibai project “talk and agree” with the region because one cannot ‘pretend that it has as its driving force a divisive project’. In this sense, he hoped the announcement would be “a correction” by the PNV and not “a marketing operation”.

Casanova has emphasized that the announcement of this ‘moratorium’ is taking place despite the fact that it has so far been put forward ‘by the highest representatives’ of the PNV and the institutions involved that “it would be built yes or yes” because it was a ‘strategic’ project and There was no “reverse”.

Thus, he pointed out that the announcement made this Monday in the appearance of the Lehendakari together with the general deputy of Bizkaia, Elixabete Etxanobe, “opens a new scenario” in which “at least the possibility of a trial is accommodated. .” of moratorium and therefore of reflection“.

In this way he has criticized the fact that it has been ‘an articulated project’ so far hierarchicalfrom top to bottom, with the house absolutely starting from the roof.”

Without “addressing” the question of whether “a majority is in favor or not” for the project in Busturialdea, he has warned that the Guggenheim Urdaibai “creates division” and there are “many people in favor, but also many people against” and “even the regional government’s partner”, the PSE-EE, “even the election campaign showed its opposition.”
