Approved for Pradales, Otxandiano and Gorrotxategi, the best rated

Three of the seven candidates for lehendakari have received approval from the public, according to January’s EITB Focus. For example, the leaders of the PNV list, EH Bildu and Elkarrekin Podemos, achieve a score above 5 in the leader assessment conducted in the survey.

The one who gets the best score is Imanol Pradales, candidate of the Jeltzales, who scores a 5.6 from the respondents. Pello Otxandiano (EH Bildu) follows closely with a score of 5.4. Look at Gorrotxategi, Elkarrekin Podemos’ bet, is also approved with a 5.

Eneko Andueza, leader of the Basque Socialists, almost passed with a 4.9, followed by Alba García from Sumar with a 4.7. At a greater distance, Javier de Andrés gets a rating of 2.5, and Amaia Martínez, from Vox, a 1.

As for whether or not they know the candidates chosen by the Basque parties, almost six in ten respondents (58%) say they know the leader of the PNV list, Imanol Pradales. Pello Otxandiano, in second place, is known by 54.7% of citizens, Eneko Andueza by 53.9% and Miren Gorortxategi by 53.2%.

44.7% claim to know the popular candidate Javier de Andrés, 30.9% top the Vox list and finally only 24.8% know Sumar’s bet, Alba García.

1,800 people living in the BAC were interviewed to prepare the EITB Focus survey (600 in each historical area).

The fieldwork was conducted from January 24 to 29 through telephone interviews.
