The Political Table of Bizkaia has accepted the proposal of the Political Table of Hegoalde e. ratified I’m Garrastatxu will be the head of the EH Bildu list for Bizkaia in the elections to the Basque Parliament, as reported by the coalition in a statement.
The final ratification of the coalition bases is now missing, which will be voted on on February 15, 16 and 17. You have until tomorrow to submit your candidacy.
Ima Garrastatxu Urbaneja (Trapagaran, 1963) was mayor of Durango in the last legislature (2019-2023) and formed a coalition government with a local candidacy linked to Podemos. In last year’s municipal elections, the candidacy led by Garrastatxu won the municipal elections, but the PNV won the mayoralty thanks to an agreement with the PSE-EE and the support of the PP.
She has a degree in information sciences and is currently a career civil servant at the Provincial Council of Bizkaia at the Ministry of Employment, Social Inclusion and Equality.
Nerea Kortajaarna will lead the list ahead of Gipuzkoa and Pello Otxandiano, who will also be a candidate for lehendakari, ahead of Álava.
