Three stitches needed – recovery plus vaccination will soon no longer be enough

Date:

The regulation to relax the corona measures, which will apply from 1 June, will also lead to a change to the Green Passport. From August 23, the combination of vaccination and recovery is no longer sufficient for 3G proof. Three uniform stitches are required for a basic vaccination. Apart from that – as announced – the mask requirement in essential shops, pharmacies and public transport will be suspended until August 23.

Until now, recovery before the first vaccination was considered a separate “immunological event”, from August three stitches are required for a basic vaccination. A recovery is valid for another six months, but no longer replaces a vaccination, the Ministry of Health said in a broadcast Monday afternoon.

The mask requirement remains in effect in “particularly vulnerable environments” such as hospitals, sanatoriums and other places where health and care services are provided, as well as in retirement and nursing homes. The mask requirement also continues to apply in mobile care (except in the disabled zone).

Vienna sticks to its own path
The federal capital Vienna continues to go its own way and maintains the obligation to wear masks, at least in public transport, medical practices and pharmacies. She wants to regulate this in a separate regulation, which has yet to be adopted. Travelers to the federal capital will have to put on the mask again when crossing the city limits of Vienna.

The other changes in the scheme:

  • 3G applies to disability assistance, but no longer a mask: Masks are no longer mandatory in residential facilities for the disabled due to the “relatively lower vulnerability of the people residing there and against the background of practicality of disability support in everyday life,” the ministry said. of health. The 3G requirement continues to apply in this area. The same applies to mobile care services in the disabled sector.
  • There are no minimum intervals between vaccinations: Another change: The previously prescribed minimum intervals between vaccinations no longer apply. This is justified by the “easier enforceability and uniformity” – moreover, the doctors are in principle bound by the minimum distances when vaccinating anyway.
  • Another exception to the 3G rule: In addition, there will be exceptions to the 3G rule (besides pregnancy and health risks of a vaccination) – proof of this is now also unnecessary for those people who would not be vaccinated due to a lack of immune response to a vaccination. The confirmation you have already received for a vaccination exemption is sufficient.

Mask makes a comeback in the fall
The Ministry of Health expects that the mask requirement will be reintroduced in the autumn – if the number of cases increases, this can also be done earlier.

The national vaccination obligation against corona will remain suspended during the summer. Violations of the obligation should have been punished from mid-March, but on the advice of the expert committee, the vaccination obligation has been suspended until June 1. Now, following a different advice from the experts, this arrangement will be extended in the summer (also for three months).
