Pradales calls for the ecological transition to be ‘done right’, and to do this hand in hand with the Basque industry

Date:

The Lehendakari candidate has taken part in the presentation of the PNV candidacy for Bizkaia, where he has urged not to be “misled” by those who make “dangerous” speeches about “laboratory” populism, claiming that “if we don’t create wealth, we will end up spreading misery.”

The candidate for lehendakari of the PNV, Imanol Pradaleshas clearly committed to tackling “the energy and ecological transition” and the decarbonization of the Basque Country, but has called for “getting it right”, hand in hand with the Basque industry current, ‘with ambition and realism’, and above all ‘without risking our daily bread’. “You don’t play with things to eat. If we don’t create wealth, we will end up spreading misery,” he warned.

Pradales participated in the presentation of the PNV candidacy for Bizkaia to the elections for the Basque Parliament, which he leads, held in Los Hermanos de Barakaldo, in which the President of the BBB, Itxaso Atutxa, and the Mayor of Barakaldo, Amaia del Campo, also participated.

Candidate Jeltzale has urged not to be “misled” by those who maintain “dangerous” speeches of “laboratory” populism, who “defend that everything should be public and only public” and an economic policy of “pure and hard interventionism”. “Beware of those who demonize private initiative, investment and entrepreneurship,” he stressed.

Against this background, he has advocated “creating favorable conditions for investments, public and private investments, stable conditions for taking risks, entrepreneurship, creating new companies and new quality jobs, without ever losing our industrial DNA.”

Pradales has urged to take advantage of the opportunities it offers “the new economy that is coming”linked to digitalization, artificial intelligence, the energy and ecological transition, the silver economy or the circular economy”, with support “for small, medium and large companies in this country”, for the self-employed and cooperatives”, with guidance of workshops and companies “who raise their blind every day to continue raising Euskadi.”

He has also insisted that the PNV is “clear”. ‘We are going to achieve a new Euskadi of well-being, reliable and global, because the future of this country is to progress, to become better, without giving up, with work, with effort, without false expectations, and to promise only what we will fulfill, without expecting others to solve our problems,” he assured.

To this end, he explained that the Jeltzales will “attract the working diver again” and “take on the new challenges based on the accumulated management experience”. “We are prepared. Attention! A new generation of PNV people is willing and committed to improving Euskadi. We’re not going to settle, we’re not going to sit around and wait. It’s time to stand up for Euskadi again, work and take risks,” he said.
