At the beginning of this week, Johannes Pressl replaced Alfred Riedl as chairman of the Austrian Association of Municipalities. In an interview with the ‘Krone’ he now reveals why he had a chip installed in his car, when the billion should be given to the communities and how he assesses the Koza case.
„Crown”: Mr. Pressl, you wanted to become a pastor as a teenager and are now president of the community association. What went wrong?
Johannes Pressl: (laughs) I actually attended a seminary in Seitenstetten, but decided otherwise when I was sixteen. That’s when I realized this wasn’t the life I wanted to live. I do not regret it. But daily life and time at the seminary were very educational.
