State Secretary Florian Tursky (ÖVP) for Digitalization will apparently resign from his position on Friday, a reliable source reports. The government’s position is reportedly being cut. The digital agendas should go to ÖVP State Secretary Claudia Plakolm.
The mayoral candidate from the list “The New Innsbruck” wants to fully concentrate on the municipal elections in the capital of Tyrol that will take place on April 14.
There had been repeated rumors recently, but Tursky has so far stuck to his official position that he was merely withdrawing from Vienna and returning to Tyrol after the local elections. He definitely wanted to do that, even in defeat.
Recent criticism of “dual function”
There was also repeated criticism of the ‘dual function’ as election campaigner in the West and government politician in the East. The 35-year-old always commuted. Tursky and his citizens’ alliance want to replace city boss Georg Willi (Greens).
The official launch of the election campaign of “The New Innsbruck”, an alliance of the ÖVP, “For Innsbruck” and the Seniors Association, will take place on Monday at the Innsbruck Congress. This week, Tursky presented his list of candidates.
