The text was adopted by an absolute majority with 178 votes in favor (PSOE and its investment partners) and 172 votes against (PP, Vox, UPN and CC).
This time, no surprises. According to the established script, the plenary meeting of the Congress approved this Thursday Amnesty Actand he did it with the absolute majority required (set at 176 votes).
Unlike the first vote in January, the Junts has united its votes with those of the PSOE and its investiture partners. 178 votes in favor. Just like last time, the right (PP, Vox, UPN and CC, 172 votes) voted against.
The opinion of the standard, which has received the approval of the Justice Commission, includes the changes registered after the transactional change with which PSOE, Junts and ERC approved the project. The main law of the legislature, promised by the PSOE to its Catalan partners in exchange for support for the inauguration of Pedro Sánchez, therefore leaves the House of Representatives to the Senate.
The approved text erases for twelve years all criminal, administrative and accounting responsibility of people involved in the ‘trials’ and opens the door to the return to the Spanish state of the former president of the Generalitat Carles Puigdemont. The law comes at a key time, after the early elections in Catalonia, a call that the Junts MEP does not rule out.

Before the vote, the groups explained their position on the law.
The leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijoo, has shown its rejection because it is a rule that “divides Spain and Catalonia in two.” Feijóo has warned the Spanish government that the regulations “will not pass through the filter of the Senate, that of Justice or that of the street.”
