It is said that things are very simmering in the district administration of Lienz in East Tyrol. In a letter to the media, employees made serious accusations against district governor Olga Reisner. Psychological violence or bullying is possible. The country is trying to clarify the allegations.
There is a rumbling sound in the BH Lienz. Employees have apparently been complaining for some time that their boss is crossing boundaries. BH Olga Reisner should therefore commit psychological violence and bullying – especially against male employees – is not uncommon. Those affected made their suffering public in a letter.
At the beginning of this year it became clear that things had been going wrong with the house blessing for a long time: in February the entire staff representation resigned. In retrospect, that was probably the first sign. Unless something changes, the employees want to take to the streets, they say.
Country takes a stand
The employees feel let down by the state of Tyrol and have now turned to the media. A few hours later there was a statement from the country. It explains that the employer has instructed the supervisory authority to immediately investigate “the allegations in the room”.
Reisner had already been informed on Thursday in a personal conversation with LH Anton Mattle and director of the state office Herbert Forster. “We take the allegations very seriously, a situation like this is not an everyday occurrence and is anything but pleasant. “The state governor immediately entrusted me with the matter after the staff representative in Lienz resigned,” Forster explains. The current allegations are serious and therefore the agenda cannot proceed further.
Responsibility towards employees
Detailed investigations of authority management are planned in the coming weeks. They want to clarify the incident as quickly as possible. “Our goal is to ensure confidence within and in the district administration. For the state of Tyrol, the emphasis is on personal conversations with employees and a confidential working environment,” concludes Director Forster of the State Office.
Chamber of Commerce with appeal
The Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce is not unmoved by the tensions within the authority. These would put pressure on BH’s ability to trade. “The entrepreneurs in the neighborhood now also feel this. This situation represents a serious obstacle to regional development and can no longer be tolerated.” We therefore call on those responsible at state level to act quickly and decisively.
