A person pepper-sprayed the PNV lehendakari candidate after a rally in Barakaldo (Bizkaia).
The Basque government has decided to strengthen the security of the candidates of the various political parties running for the next elections in Euskadi on April 21, following the attack last Tuesday by the PNV candidate for Lehendakari, Imanol Pradales.
A person sprayed Pradales with pepper spray yesterday after participating in a rally in Barakaldo (Bizkaia), and he had to be treated at Cruces Hospital as his eyes were affected. The attacker was arrested and provisionally released after being brought to justice.
After this episode, the department led by Josu Erkoreka, as confirmed by the Basque executive, has decided to strengthen the security of the candidates of the different formations in the events that will take place in the last part of this electoral battle.
