The Social Democratic Trade Unionists (FSG) and top candidate Markus Wieser managed to retain their absolute majority in the elections for the Chamber of Labor in Lower Austria and even expanded it by more than two percentage points to 64 percent.
The Social Democratic Trade Unionists (FSG) faction achieved a clear victory in the elections to the Lower Austrian Chamber of Labor and expanded its absolute majority to 64 percent (+2%). “The employees have recognized who has been at their side every day for five years,” said top candidate Markus Wieser.
Lower turnout in elections
The People’s Party (NÖAAB-FCG) lost 15 percent (most recently 21.1 percent). The Freedom Workers (FA-FPÖ) rose from 10.3 to 14 percent. A total of six lists competed for 110 seats in the AK General Assembly. The turnout in the elections was initially 34.5 percent.
