Ibarrola feels supported by the party to try to gain a ‘vote share’ and restore institutions

Date:

UPN’s newly appointed president has dismissed the fact that she has received the least internal support in four decades, saying she will focus her policies on “making life easier for people”.

The President of UPN, Cristina Ibarrola, has assured that she feels supported and has sufficient internal support to lead the UPN project and try to gain a “vote share” and regain the institutions lost in recent years .

Ibarrola, the party’s newly elected president at the congress last Sunday, with the support of 81% of a third of the militants who took part in the vote, has said that the fact that she is the president with the lowest support in forty years has no influence on her, that she feels with “sufficient internal support“.

Ibarrola recalled that UPN is the party with the most members and the most votes in all of Navarre, but that its aim is to gain a “vote share” to regain the institutions, which, in his opinion, it has lost because PSN “crossed the red lines” agree with EH Bildu.

In this sense, the UPN councilor in the Pamplona City Council, after the motion of censure that removed her from the mayor’s office, has said that her party is ready to dialogue and agree with each party, with the exception of EH Bildubut it seems difficult at the moment to reach an agreement with the PSN, as it is precisely that party that has “closed the door” in some cases, such as in the Pamplona City Council.

Ibarrola has stressed that this is the policy of the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sanchezagree with EH Bildu, and believes that this could change if the “very good news” came that “the worst president Spain has ever had” announced his resignation today (interview conducted before Sánchez’s announcement).
