There was a garage fire in a single-family home in Mureck on Sunday evening. Thanks to the 15-year-old resident of the house, a major fire was avoided. She immediately alerted the fire brigade and got the family dog and herself to safety. No one was injured.
Around 7:30 p.m., an alert 15-year-old girl from Styria, who was on the first floor of the house at the time, noticed smoke in the garage. The girl from the Southeast Styrian district then left the house with the family dog and alerted the emergency services.
The fire brigades of Mureck and Misselsdorf were able to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire is currently unknown and remains under investigation. There was material damage of an unknown amount. No one was injured.
