The elections in Innsbruck have many facets – and will provide a lot of food for discussion. The “Krone” has brought together one or two facets – an analysis without any completeness.
The ÖVP should examine itself – together with the proponents of ‘For Innsbruck’. And in the future, perhaps rely less on posters, avoid the occasional whisperer (who has politically retired at some point) and approach people more instead. The fact that the reunification produced the worst result of all time is a clear message from the electorate: now that the people of Innsbruck are on the front line, there is no “New ÖVP”.
