The deputy of the Spanish government in Euskadi, Denis Itxasohas claimed”social dialogue” in the stabilization process started in the Basque government to combine the labor rights of agency workers with the language rights of society. “I would like a flexibility exercise”he said, and in that sense he has called on the social dialogue, as “the measures are sustainable if they are agreed”.
In an interview with the Radio Euskadi program “Boulevard”, Itxaso was questioned about the request of Elkarrekin Podemos, PP+Cs and Vox for “more flexibility” in Basque’s demand, arguing that “many people” who have lived in the administration are left out of the process.
In a different order, Itxaso has the “right to difference“both within the Basque government – with reference to the disagreements between the PSE-EE and the PNV on some issues – and in the central executive. “There are always discrepancies and coincidences,” he claimed; “another thing is that they be more or less morbid” or “make more noise”. Of the governing coalition with the Yeltzales, he has said that “it has been a long time since we have been this stable in Euskadi, let’s take advantage of it”, he added.
As for the government formed with United We Can, he has assured that the “predominant tone of the legislature is a progressive coalition government that every Tuesday adopts proposals endorsed by both forces, and generally gains the support of the investiture bloc” . Itxaso has reduced the cases that do not occur in this way, such as the labor reform, to “exceptions”.
Finally, and with regard to the support they are getting in Congress from the parliamentary group of EH Picture, the deputy of the Spanish government has clarified that “the agreements will not be reached for five MPs”, and has criticized the “fierce opposition” of the PP. “I wonder that when EH Bildu votes for a government proposal, their votes should be questioned, but when EH Bildu votes together with the PP, as is the case with the labor reform, it goes without saying. I refuse to do politics in this way understand (…) we have a problem if a political group is only allowed to vote against,” he denounced.
