Response from reader “Krone” – Anonymous grumbling and farting: “To shame!”

Date:

According to a report in the daily “Der Standard”, the next political earthquake is now likely to happen: the Green Party’s top candidate for the EU elections, Lena Schilling, has been banned by the court from spreading rumors about one of her former best friends . Vice Chancellor Kogler subsequently described the accusations as “anonymous grumbling and farting.” We have collected the reactions of the “Krone” community for you!

According to the statement, the 23-year-old committed not to make any accusations in the future. Schilling is prohibited from claiming in the future that one of her former friends was beaten by her husband and suffered a miscarriage as a result.

At the press conference held after the publication, both Schilling and Kogler put the matter in perspective and talked about “rumors” and “rumors.”

“It’s shameful to have such politicians!”
Vice Chancellor Werner Kogler went even further and described the (court-confirmed) accusations as “anonymous grumbling and farting.” Our community’s response to Kogler’s verbal derailment was correspondingly sharp.

“Have you ever heard of moral responsibility and role modeling, Ms. Schilling?”
The Green Party’s top candidate emphasized during the press conference that these were personal matters that had nothing to do with politics.

The ‘Krone’ community clearly does not agree with this either. Even though Schilling’s statements are in themselves apolitical, they paint a picture that is unworthy of a politician who is expected to represent Austria abroad.

How has this revelation affected your opinion of Lena Schilling? What do you think of the Green Party leadership’s attempts to justify this? Do you think the case will have an impact on the Green Party’s election results? We look forward to your comments!
