There has been speculation for weeks, but now it is official: Madeleine Petrovic, former leader of the Green Party, will participate in the National Council elections with her own list. Petrovic is currently chairman of the Vienna Animal Welfare Association and was noticed during the pandemic by appearing at Corona demonstrations.
From 1994 to 1996, Madeleine Petrovic was federal spokeswoman for the Green Party and from 2002 to 2015 she was state spokeswoman for the Green Party in Lower Austria. She could now make her comeback to federal politics in the fall – with her own list. At a press conference on Friday, details of the “Madeleine Petrovic List”, which was specially created on Tuesday, will be presented.
In any case, the former Green Party has already shown something in terms of personnel. A photo accompanying the invitation to the press conference shows Petrovic together with Monika Henninger-Erber, a non-registered municipal councilor in Grafenegg in the Krems district of Lower Austria, and with Nora Summer from Klosterneuburg, stuntwoman and author.
During the corona pandemic, Petrovic particularly stood out because she spoke out strongly against mandatory corona vaccination. At a Corona demonstration in 2022, the politician also said that there were no people at the rally who were paid by Pfizer or the Gates Foundation. Unlike the “watchdogs”…
