The president of the ERC has announced in the context of next Wednesday’s executive meeting that he will leave the presidency after the European elections in order to “open a process of reflection and active listening before deciding on his future”.
ERC President Oriol Junqueras announced on Wednesday that he will leave the ERC presidency after the European elections on June 9.
According to a statement from the party, Junqueras announced in the context of last Wednesday’s executive meeting that he will leave the presidency after the European elections to “open a process of reflection and active listening before deciding on his future.”
The party’s National Executive has also agreed to convene a National Congress to determine the party’s new strategy.
On the other hand, Joan Tardaformer ERC deputy in Congress, has defended his party by making the socialist candidate Salvador Illa president of the Generalitat and moving to a phase of ‘collaboration’ with the PSC.
