Temporarily halted – Sellner successfully took action against the entry ban

Date:

Martin Sellner, head of the right-wing extremist Identitarian Movement, has achieved success against his travel ban in Germany. The Potsdam Administrative Court said on Friday that the ban should not be implemented for the time being.

The reason: Sellner’s objection is likely to succeed. According to her own statement, the court examined the official order and concluded that it was unlawful. This decision can still be appealed to the Higher Administrative Court of Berlin-Brandenburg, so it is not legally binding.

The ban should apply for three years
The background is that Sellner spoke about so-called remigration at a meeting of the radical right in a villa in Potsdam in November 2023. The 35-year-old activist means that people with a migration background must leave the country en masse, even if they have a German passport. The meeting was attended by several AfD members, but also CDU politicians and the conservative Union of Values.

Here you can see a message from Martin Sellner.

After the meeting became known, the state capital Brandenburg imposed an entry ban (see video above). Sellner would therefore not be allowed to go to Germany again for three years. This was said to be for reasons of public order and safety.

The right-wing extremist describes this as “absurd” and continues to regularly post about remigration on his channels (see message above).
