The plenary has ratified the decree-law to limit the price of electricity generation from natural gas with the support of the PSOE, United We Can, Republican Left, Citizens, the PNV and EH Bildu The PP and the far-right Vox party abstained, voting only against Foro Asturias and Nueva Canarias.

Likewise, he celebrated that, along with the adoption of this mechanism, the European Commission, through its own President, Ursula von der Leyen, is calling for “finally” reform of the design of the electricity market.
Although they ultimately abstained from voting, both PP and Vox have come down hard on the price ceiling mechanism.
The PNV, EH Bildu and PDeCAT congratulated the Spanish government, because even if they regretted the inadequacy of the measure, they acknowledged the difficulty of achieving it: “We will see the results, but in perspective it was not easy,” said spokesman Ferrán Bel, for the PDeCAT.
