During the meetings in Pamplona, Vitoria, Bilbao and Donostia, they reaffirmed themselves “in the process in which the Basque prisoners, refugees and deportees go home” and called to participate in the mobilizations organized by Sare.
Representatives of the trade unions ELA, LAB, ESK, STEILAS, CGT/LKN, CNT, HIRU, EHNE and ETXALDE met this Thursday in Pamplona/Iruña, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Donostia and Bilbao to affirm and reaffirm their support for the Sare Civic Network itself “in the process of bringing Basque prisoners, refugees and deportees home.”
Under the motto “Langileok konponbidean” (workers in resolution), they have called for the withdrawal of exceptional measures and a reduction in the numbers, as well as for the return home of older prisoners.
The Sare network will celebrate its tenth anniversary in June. The union representatives wanted to congratulate the organization for the work done during this period. Likewise, they have made it clear that they “will continue at the side of the Sare Citizen Network on the path to achieving peace, resolution and coexistence in Euskal Herria.”
They have stated that workers “play a very important role on the path to coexistence.” In this sense, they have confirmed the commitment to continue working in this direction, ensuring that “we want to convey from the work centers the desire that Basque society has to contribute to the comprehensive resolution after so many years of suffering and violation of rights. “
That is why they have issued a call to participate in the mobilizations and initiatives called by Sare, such as the ‘Etxera Kalejira’ that will take place in Pamplona on July 4.
