Following the filing of the ‘Tsunami Democràctic’ case by Judge Manuel García Castellón, the general secretary of ERC indicated in an interview that he would like to attend a party women’s event on Saturday.
The Secretary General of ERC, Marta Rovirainstalled in Switzerland since 2018 to evade justice, has admitted to being “excited” after Judge Manuel García Castellón “Democratic Tsunami” Case Filed for which she was examined along with nine other people.
In statements to Rac 1, Rovira explained on Tuesday that she would like to be in Barcelona on Saturday to personally participate in a women’s meeting convened by the party.
These statements came a day after National Court judge Manuel García Castellón initiated the “Democratic Tsunami” case in which ten people were investigated, including the former general secretary of ERC. Marta Rovira.
The subdistrict court judge made this decision after becoming aware of the facts order of the Criminal Court rendering all procedures agreed upon by the instructor over the past three years null and void as the court extended the investigation on July 30, 2021, 24 hours after the deadline.
Rovira explained that he has not yet made a final decision on when he will return, as he is still waiting to see how the individual charges will respond and what his lawyers can tell him. The ERC general secretary described the situation as “poetic justice”, because he believed that “the magistrate has been prolonging the case for years and for political motivation.”
‘Optimistic’ about Illa’s inauguration: ‘Negotiations are going well’
Regarding other matters, Rovira has pointed out that “discussions are going well with the PSC” about the possible inauguration of Salvador Illa, and that he wants to contribute “as much as he can”, although he has indicated the family as a priority and passage for his native Vic (Barcelona), at a time when his daughter is already on holiday in Catalonia.
As for his personal future, he has indicated that he will decide together with his partner and his daughter whether to move definitively to Catalonia or to continue living in Geneva, as he has already built many ‘ties’ in that city after six years there.
