The bases of EH Bildu have ratified the candidatures of Iker Casanova and María del Río for the 2023 regional and municipal elections, with 96.75% and 89.47% of the vote respectively.

The EH Bildu bases have ratified the candidatures of Iker Casanova for Biscay Provincial Council and María del Río for Bilbao Municipal Council, so both will head the lists of the sovereign coalition in Biscay in the 2023 municipal and regional elections.
As reported by EH Bildu, Iker Casanova secured 96.78% of the vote, only 1.45% rejected his candidacy and the remaining 1.77% are blank ballots. The turnout was 32.5% of the eligible voters.
For its part, María del Río’s candidacy has been confirmed with 89.47% of the votes. They voted against 4.6% and blank votes were 5.92% of the votes cast. The turnout was 38.20% of the voters.
