Missing from the federal list – replaced? Which office is Norbert Hofer pointing to now?

Date:

Even before the FPÖ federal list was announced, wild rumors were circulating about a supposed replacement for Norbert Hofer, Herbert Kickl’s predecessor as leader of the blue party. Now that Hofer is not among the top 20, speculation is starting again. Who could replace him and what he himself says and wants to be.

What the ‘Krone’ readers have known since Monday became official on Wednesday. FPÖ party leader Herbert Kickl presented his federal list for the National Council elections. As expected, he relies on his two secretaries general from Lower Austria, Christian Hafenecker and Michael Schnedlitz, but also on the blue social spokesperson Dagmar Belakowitsch and above all on the Upper Austrian lawyer Susanne Fürst.
