Hans Peter Doskozil’s book is causing quite a stir. Now former Justice Minister Wolfgang Brandstetter has announced a media lawsuit against the SPÖ politician. It concerns an “actually scandalous offer”.
The reason for the lawsuit against Brandstetter are the descriptions in Doskozil’s book, according to which the ex-minister allegedly made him a “really scandalous offer” in the case of housing cooperatives. The Public Prosecution Service for Economic Affairs and Corruption had previously started an investigation into an initial suspicion of bribery based on the passage in the book against Brandstetter.
Doskozil: Clean up the scandal completely
Doskozil’s office is calm about the lawsuit. The statements about the events surrounding the Tojner case are factual, truthful and well documented. In this case, the amount of damages has now exceeded 100 million euros, with over 30 defendants.
Doskozil’s goal is to achieve the greatest possible compensation for taxpayers and to ensure that this scandal is fully clarified. “The state governor will not be deterred from this path — not even by attempts to silence him,” Doskozil’s office said.
