NEOS frontwoman Beate Meinl-Reisinger seemed determined during her visit to Vorarlberg: it takes courage to tackle major reforms. If NEOS had buried their heads in the sand from the start, they wouldn’t be where they are today.
“Crown”: Mrs Meinl-Reisinger, you are a candidate for chancellor. If you were chancellor, what would you do first?
Beate Meinl-Reisinger: I could say now that I would make sure that the Chancellor gets policy powers. Then she could decide things, just like in Germany. But seriously: the first measure would certainly be a cash collapse. Then I would give the order to convert every cent spent and see if it is necessary to eventually create a road map for emergency aid.
