Basque society approves of Pradales’ work in his first hundred days at the head of the government

Basque society has approved the administration of Lehendakari Imanol Pradales as head of the Basque government, after 100 days in office. According to the September 2024 EITB Focus survey, the average rating given to the new Executive is 5.99 out of 10.

The research shows that six out of ten people have given a rating between 5 and 10 to the new Basque government. In addition, one in four respondents He has preferred not to judge the work of the executive branch.

If we look at the data taking into account the respondents’ place of residence, we see that the best score for the Pradales cabinet he comes from Bizkaia, with an average score of 6.24. It is followed by Gipuzkoa, with a score of 5.79, and Araba, with a score of 5.51.

In terms of age they are over 65 years who give a higher rating to the work of Lehendakari Pradales and his government team (6.84).

Strangely enough, the voters of all parties They approve of the work of the new Basque executive, with those of the PNV giving Pradales the highest score (7.09), followed by the voters of the PSE-EE (government partner of the PNV), with an average score of 6 .74, and of the PP, with 5.49. The voters of EH Bildu have rated Executive Pradales’ work in the first hundred days of his mandate with a mark of 5.18.

The EITB Focus survey also examines the level of knowledge that citizens have about the current coalition government. So eight out of ten citizens know that the PNV governs in coalition, while only 5.8% claim that the Yeltzales control the executive branch alone.

Moreover, if we measure satisfaction with the current coalition between Jeltzales and the Socialists, respondents rate this union with an average score of 5.58. 84.7% also replied that the PNV-PSE-EE pact It will last the entire legislature.

Knowledge of leaders

When asked about the knowledge of the CAV parliamentarians and the assessment of their work, the Lehendakari reached a high level of knowledgedespite the fact that it has been less than a year since the public learned of his designation as a PNV candidate. At this moment, nine out of ten people say they know himand receives the highest rating, a 6.2 out of ten, although four in ten people preferred not to rate him when completing the survey.

The second to receive a better assessment is the current parliamentary spokesperson of the PNV, Joseba Diez Anxustegi, which is greater than 6 (6.1). Vote loyalty

Finally, the EITB Focus survey shows that five months after the regional elections there would be no significant change in voting intention, and it is observed a high degree of loyalty, especially among those who voted for the PNV last April (86% would vote the same again) and EH Bildu (90% would repeat their vote).
