Well-known Krone foreign policy journalist Kurt Seinitz analyzes the explosive situation in the Middle East in an interview with krone.tv. For example, the question of whether Hamas was de facto beheaded after the recent Israeli murders of high-ranking Hamas members.
“There is Israeli DNA: anyone who has blood on their hands against Israel will be liquidated. “Israel must now take more risks with the ground offensive in Lebanon if it wants to eliminate all parts,” said Kurt Seinitz.
This is often very dangerous. That’s why a few days ago, eight members of an Israeli special forces unit were killed after being ambushed during the ground offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Seinitz responded to Hezbollah’s subsequent confident statement that this was just the beginning and that there would be maximum willingness to resist Israel in Lebanon: “That is a fairy tale from the Arabian Nights and the only language of deterrence. Because Hezbollah is on the ground.” The recent Israeli airstrike on Beirut also matches Israeli DNA: “The ‘Blood on the Hands’ DNA also applies here. The goal is to decapitate the leadership.”
Iran is weaker than it has been for a long time
Iran, the protective power of Hamas and Hezbollah, is also currently showing weaknesses: “Iran is weaker than it has been for a long time and is blowing its whistle. But the Iranian regime could also be heading for suicide if its back is against the wall.” This would be the case, for example, if Israel were to attack the Iranian nuclear processing facility, which the Americans want to prevent in any case.
Recently there were also some phone calls from US President Joe Biden to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Admittedly to little effect: “Netanyahu doesn’t listen to anyone he doesn’t want to listen to.” In any case, the Israeli secret service Mossad is said to be well informed about the status of Iran’s nuclear facilities. Seinitz said emphatically: “The Mossad is everywhere, going in and out of Iran.”
Diplomatic waffling
Krone foreign policy expert Kurt Seinitz comments on the travel ban recently imposed by Israel on UN Secretary General António Guterres, who has publicly criticized Israel for its actions against Hamas and Hezbollah, with a clear message: “This is a diplomatic maneuver like no other. No one else has dared to do that before.” Overall, the situation in the Middle East is currently extremely tense, and an expansion of the war could also affect neighboring countries.
