Mónica Oltra has resigned after being charged in the case of the alleged cover-up of abuses allegedly committed by her ex-husband to a minor under guardianship.

The Vice-President of the Valencian Government and Compromís’ co-spokesperson, Monica Oltraannounced on Tuesday that it resigned as member of the Consell and also as regional deputyand has assured that he will leave “with his head held high” and with “teeth very clenched”.
Oltra made this announcement, deeply moved, during a press conference for the Compromise Executive, explaining her situation five days after being reviewed by the management of her Ministry of case of abuse of a minor under the guardianship of her ex-husband
“This decision is difficult for me, especially because the bad guys are winning,” said the vice president, who has stated that her resignation is caused by “one of the greatest shame” in this country and has apologized to the vulnerable, to whom he has devoted himself and who “it hurts his soul” to leave.
After explaining that he had not communicated his decision to Puig before the press conference, he claimed that there is no Botànic without Compromís and that he does not want to be “the alibi” for his party to be kicked out of the Valencian government.
