The National Council is paving the way for the next anti-inflation package. On Thursday in a special meeting, a decision will be made on a uniform climate bonus and an extra one-off payment against inflation. There is also a one-off benefit for minimum pensioners, the unemployed and recipients of student grants of EUR 300.
A supplement of 180 euros on the child benefit is also planned for August. Other parts of the coalition’s anti-inflation package are still awaiting implementation in the summer. This concerns, for example, the planned abolition of “cold progression” and the planned valorisation of social benefits.
500 euros for everyone
As for the climate bonus, as originally planned, it should be awarded differently per region, but only from next year. This year there is 250 euros for everyone, plus the anti-inflation bonus of 250 euros. In addition, the introduction of CO2 pricing will be postponed from July to October.
The Turquoise-Green Coalition has already presented a more precise timetable for relief efforts. They are paid in three phases, with the first transfers taking place in August.
