On the edge of NATO top in The Hague, US President Donald Trump also thought time to meet his Ukrainian opposite Wolodyymyr Senskyj. After the conversation, which lasted longer, than expected, spoke about an “important” conversation about the road to a cease -the fires and a “real peace” between Russia and Ukraine.
“We discussed all important topics,” Senskyj said after the 45 -minute meeting about the short reports of the short reports X. He thanked the United States and President Trump and announced that he will publish more details at a later date.
Trump contradicts: “No conversation about ceases -furen”
However, Trump contradicted in a press conference. It was not discussed about a cease -the fire. “I just wanted to see how he was doing. We had difficult times. But he was very friendly (…) It was a wonderful meeting. I was happy to have seen him,” said the 79-year-old.

US Minister of Foreign Affairs: no new sanctions against Russia
According to Foreign Minister Marco Rubio, the United States does not want to impose any further sanctions against Russia. “If we did what everyone wants here, namely to burden them with more sanctions, we will probably lose our ability to talk to them about a ceasefire -” Rubio said in an interview of Polo -on’s sidelines on NATO top. President Donald Trump will know ‘the right moment and place’ for new economic measures against Russia.
