Blauer Fleckerlrug – The detailed results: this is how your community voted

Date:

The state elections in Styria have been won, bringing the next FPÖ victory. The blues leave the black and red behind and clearly take first place with almost 35 percent. In addition to the big picture, you can also see how your community voted here.

Styria has 286 municipalities, divided into 13 districts. This creates a colorful patchwork carpet from the Ennstal to the southeast, which this year shimmers bluer than ever before.

Small communities are at the forefront of the count
Numerous communities finished long before the official voting deadline at 4 p.m., such as Großwilfersdorf and Bad Blumau (Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district) or Gabersdorf (Leibnitz district), where it already ended in the morning. In Graz, voting was possible until the last minute, which meant that the results took longer to arrive.

In Graz and the surrounding area you could only vote for all nine lists; everywhere else, the six parties already represented in the state parliament, ÖVP, SPÖ, FPÖ, Greens, KPÖ and NEOS, were on the ballot. The results of all parties that stood for election in your community can be seen in the graph above.

The black-red majority has disappeared
Across Styria, the ÖVP-SPÖ coalition loses its majority and together wins only 24 of the 48 seats in the state parliament. The FPÖ alone has seventeen, the Greens have three, NEOS and KPÖ each have two. The future composition of the state government is still up in the air after Sunday’s political landslide.
