Horse in the pool – The fire brigade of Pucking-Hasenufer (Upper Austria) was called to a rather unusual operation on Sunday. A four-legged friend fell into a private swimming pool and was unable to get out on his own. But the fire brigade had a very exciting idea.
Shortly before 3 p.m. on Sunday, the fire brigade was alerted because the horse was found in the swimming pool. “After the emergency services arrived, the situation was thoroughly analyzed,” the rescuers explained.
And then came the unusual idea of how to safely and gently remove the fortunately unharmed animal from its predicament. They built a ramp for the horse from some straw bales and pumped out the water at the same time. The animal was rescued a short time later. The animal was then examined and cared for by a veterinarian.
