In the Lower Austrian confidence index, SPÖ health council member Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig surprisingly takes first place with +12 points, ahead of Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner. Mikl-Leitner’s values are therefore well below its best value from 2005 (+31). FPÖ representatives and SPÖ regional leader Sven Hergovich also have to settle for negative values. The ÖVP is still trying to spread optimism.

Also last year, the popular state councilor was ahead of the 60-year-old state governor in a study by the Institute for Demoscopy and Data Analysis (IFDD). At the time, experts also expressed their high appreciation for the successful crisis management during the corona pandemic. Now the pandemic is over – but values remained stable!
