Brunner is candidate – MFG chairman appears at Hofburg election

Date:

The chairman of the anti-vaccine party MFG (Human Freedom Basic Rights), Michael Brunner, is running for the federal presidential election on October 9. His stated goal is to force incumbent Alexander Van der Bellen into a second round, he said Monday. The fight against the Corona measures remains the program. According to Brunner, he would immediately fire the entire government and force the lifting of all remaining corona measures.

Brunner has been an independent lawyer and founding member of MFG for 30 years. He describes himself as a “fighter from the beginning”, especially against the Corona measures. “I will be an advocate for the people if I am elected,” he said accordingly. This time, the campaign budget may not exceed the 125,000 euros spent on the Upper Austrian state elections.

Attacks against Van der Bellen
Brunner did not skimp on attacks on the current Federal President, Van der Bellen. This is a silent chairman, not only because of the Corona measures. The Greens who support him are no longer a pacifist movement, Brunner criticized Austria’s response to Russia’s attack on Ukraine. He described the arms shipments from Europe as “belligerent” and that neutrality would not be shaken.

Redundancy and government layoffs
“We again call on the Austrian federal government to step down,” Brunner said again. Turquoise-green has committed more than 100 constitutional violations and is therefore “no longer viable for this country,” he claimed. Now the people have the opportunity to end the government. Should Van der Bellen be forced to a second round, which is Brunner’s goal, “much, if not everything, is open,” he believes.
