The Biscayan juntero Richard Vaquero is the new general coordinator of Podemos Euskadiafter obtaining 402 votes, 46.5% of the votes cast in the Citizens’ Assembly, this party has reported.

The new general coordinator of Podemos Euskadi replaces in this position Pilar Garrido, who did not participate in the primary process after the party failed to gain representation in the Basque parliament in the last elections.
Vaquero (Bilbao, 51 years old) is spokesperson for the Círculos de Bizkaia and, after the 2023 provincial elections, lawyer for Elkarrekin Podemos in the General Assemblies of Bizkaia.
Teacher and psychopedagogue, he has a master’s degree in clinical psychology, with a specialty in conflict mediation.
