Sumar Mugimendua’s secretary general and deputy in Congress has said they defend decentralization into a federal or confederal state, but with “legal support.” For this reason, it has celebrated the transfer of powers.
Sumar Mugimendua’s general secretary and deputy in the Congress of Deputies has admitted that the territorial debate over the Spanish state will reach Congress “at some point” as “the majority of investiture is a clear reflection of territoriality in Spain ‘.
In an interview with Euskadi Irratia, Martínez said that in this debate they would support a federal or confederal state because they have “always” been “for decentralization.” But he believes that this debate can take place not only in the Basque Parliament, but also in Congress, because these decisions require a solution “legal support”.
In this sense, he welcomed the fact that today the Basque Government has signed two new transfers, as he believes that it is “important” to comply with the Statute of Gernika, and he believes that in recent years “a lot of work has been done resistance” thanks to “progressive governments.” However, he wanted to make it clear that more important than having skills is “how they are used.”
He also said, referring to the round of self-government meetings undertaken by the PNV, that Sumar Muimendua considers it “necessary” to renew the Statute, but “not only for the relationship between territories,” but to “grant rights within the statute.”
