On January 19, all of Austria will be watching Burgenland. Six parties – SPÖ, ÖVP, FPÖ, Greens, Neos and List Haussinn – are participating in the state elections. An online tool tells every Burgenlander which party is closest to him or her.
250,399 people from Burgenland decide on the allocation of the 36 mandates in the state parliament. High tension guaranteed: according to a recent survey, the SPÖ should worry about an absolute majority. The FPÖ could end up in second place for the first time, overtaking the ÖVP. The Greens must worry about their return to state parliament. List Common Sense and Neos also want to bridge the 4 percent threshold.
To ensure that you make the right decision for yourself at the voting booth, it is important to be well prepared. It is very easy to use: with the online voting assistance, users give their opinion on various statements and can thus compare them with the positions of the parties. The fields vary from safety and housing to healthcare and care. Ultimately you will find out which party suits you best.
