Commemoration for a great and dazzling man of the Second Republic. Hundreds of celebrities came to Ausseerland (Styria) on Friday to say goodbye to Hannes Androsch. The industrialist and former Minister of Finance and Vice-Chancellor of the SPÖ died on December 11 at the age of 86.
Top entrepreneur Androsch was continuously active until the end – also in his critical analyzes of domestic politics. The solemn memorial service was initiated to “commemorate the patron and investor and pay him our last respects out of gratitude.” From the municipality of Altaussee under Mayor Gerald Loitzl.

The funeral ceremonies for “Kreisky’s Crown Prince” began with a procession from the office building to the parish church, accompanied by the salt band, the volunteer fire brigade and a delegation from the Workers-Samaritan Association.
In addition to the actor Klaus Maria Brandauer from Altaussee, political celebrities were also present.
