Herbert Kickl is the undisputed driving force behind the FPÖ. He made this clear again after his success in the National Council elections at the end of September, when he exclusively associated a possible FPÖ chancellor with his name. All other liberal politicians also know that Kickl, as a driving force, is primarily responsible for the broad blue support among the population. All of Kickl’s electoral successes can be attributed to his rhetorical skills and focused choice of topics. The air is thin behind Kickl.
